I´ve been thinking a lot lately about discerning marriage, and the following statement has hit me as being true. On the other hand, it might be abusive to women, suggesting that I should impose myself on one before I´m really ready. What do you think?
“While it´s right that the Church´s teaching on the ideals of marriage should be as high as heaven, so that we always have something to strive for towards perfection and sanctity in married life, it´s not necessary for a man to be the kind of perfect saint described by the Theology of the Body before embarking on discernment towards marriage.”
