I am so confused I believe I am being called to be a sister but my parents and my sister do not agree. Please pray for me and clarity in my vocation. :signofcross:

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom in your time of need.

Lord, please hear this intention for discernment, through the intercession of St. Ignatius of Loyola, and grant many graces for faith, hope, love, joy, and wisdom to confused145. Lead this soul through this and all endeavors, ever closer to your Sacred Heart. Instill many graces also to her whole family, that they might have faith, hope, love, and courage, and that they may express wisdom and assistance to confused145 always, in accord with the Father’s merciful will. Have mercy, Lord, and lead this whole family ever toward the eternal garden. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

I have also been in the process of discernment to be a nun. It is my greatest desire. I have setbacks right now because I have minor children, although they do not live with me.

Prayer to Know One’s Vocation

Eternal Father, I believe in Your infinite wisdom and love. I believe that You have created me for heaven, that You have traced for me the way with all the necessary graces to arrive at it, and that there You await me for the eternal reward of a faithful servant.

I beseech You, through the merits of Jesus Christ my divine Master, and through Mary, Queen of Apostles, enlighten my mind and strengthen my will that I may clearly see this way and generously tread along this path.

Help me so that at the moment of death I may be able to say as St. Paul did: “I have finished my course, I have fought the good fight; for the rest there is laid up for me a crown of justice.” Amen.

Parents and family members just don’t want to “lose” their families. Praying for you and your discernment process.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

†

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

†

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.
