I have been working with Veterans for nearly 40 years. Is is God’s will that I take a break? Can we put our talents to rest for awhile?

If we put our talents to rest, perhaps we allow others to emerge.
God grant you to listen to the wisdom of the Holy Spirit in the realities through which He naturally reveals them to you!
God bless you and make you holy and wholesome in all things

I’ve changed professions only to realize later, “wow, I didn’t think I had any talent in this!”

St. Joseph, we pray for your guidance.

Lord, if Chapmic can’t discern for himself if he should take a break may he find a good and holy priest to help him come to his decision. Please send Chapmic the Holy Spirit to help enighten and guide him…and a good, holy priest, if necessary. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

God Bless you chapmic for your work with Veterans! My father, brother, uncle, several cousins and very good friends have served in combat. Yours is a noble and high calling and I appreciate your years of service.

I know priests take sabbaticals - sometimes months and years - in the course of their service. Maybe it is time for you to take a pause and reflect on what God’s Will is for you now. Perhaps he is calling you to rest for awhile. Maybe He will have a new calling or just wants for you to rest awhile for some reason.

Whatever it is, I pray God will continue to call you and guide you in His Will and may you find joy and fulfillment in service to the Lord.

Prayers for God to help you reach a decision :gopray:

PATER NOSTER, qui es in caelis, sanctificetur nomen tuum. Adveniat regnum tuum. Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra. Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie, et dimitte nobis debita nostra sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris. Et ne nos inducas in tentationem, sed libera nos a malo.

AVE MARIA, gratia plena, Dominus tecum. Benedicta tu in mulieribus, et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Iesus. Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, ora pro nobis peccatoribus, nunc, et in hora mortis nostrae.

GLORIA PATRI, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum.

Amen.

Thank you everyone. I am new here at the site, and I am duly impressed. The “numinous” is clearly infused in Cyberspace. See you all down the path. God speed, Mic
