Gospel reading for Sunday - July 6, 2008…
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
O Lord, I thank You for loving us so much. For caring about our “concerns” and teaching us how to deal with the problems of life. Your words speak to me, of Your great and unfathomable Mercy to all. You show us the way. You set the perfect example for us. You offer us perfect freedom in Your way of Love and Mercy. When I fall, it is Your hand (and no other) which sets me on my feet again. And I am strengthened by Your grace… for my “walk” with You. Because I know, that You will always be at my side. Always loving me. Were it not so, You would not have suffered and died for us. Lord Jesus, I believe in Your love for us all.
Help us to return Your perfect Love… by our efforts to honor Your Commandments. In this, we will truly be Your disciples. Amen.
