My explanation of feminism is that the feminist does not want to associate with a male (man) therefore the feminist exalts herself above what is detailed/described in Genesis.

Feminism is about equal rights for women compared to men. It pertains to political, economic and social rights. Feminists don’t exalt themselves above men they just want justice for things like suffrage (the right to vote). They also seek to establish equal opportunities for women in things like education and employment. Feminism responds to things like social construction of sex and gender; meaning they seek to understand the nature of gender inequality by examining women’s social roles and lived experience.

It helps to understand what a group suffers before you start calling them Nazis.

Understood. I didn’t insinuate that they were the wives of the members of the Third Reich but something like that.

So on that basis non-feminist women should want to hang out with snakes in trees? 😃

If you are talking about the radical feminism that sprang from the so called fight for equal rights, then you’d better stop referring to them as anybody’s wives!

Radical feminists see all men as patriarchs who have developed an entire social structure that oppresses women. Marriage and the nuclear family, according to the radicals, are also oppressive to women and a male construct, so they have to be abolished. Feminism went a long way past striving for the vote and equal opportunities for women long ago. There are a few of these ‘nazi-feminists’ now teaching the young and impressionable minds of students in various universities around the world.

Feminism is a lie.

In discussion & debate I’m characteristically open and willing to entertain potential truth in a pretty wide range of ideas, often foreign, suspicious, or overtly hostile ones; but this is one of a few theories that I refuse to tolerate, even just intellectually, any longer. I have nothing but contempt for Feminism (along with anything else positively associated with Leftism/Political Correctness). Whenever I spot anything at all sympathetic toward it, whether it’s via the philosophical standard version or one of many plausibly-deniable, PR-friendly variations thereof, I will precisely do my part to expose it and exterminate it. (And I will be no more obliging to this rising “Third Wave” ******** that simultaneously disguises and purports to repair all those embarrassing damages from the “Second Wave”.)

I pray to God that all strong Catholic men will begin doing the same – perhaps online; especially within their local communities, at least among their own parishes.

Sacred_Heart and LayingHands,

You are enabling a disastrous lie. Stop it.

If you spread your ideological disease inside the Holy Catholic Church any further than the culture at large has been vehemently dying to for decades now, then you will have to answer to God about it. I don’t care how noble your intentions may appear. Keep your worldly political wishes away from the Bride of Christ.

The ‘nazi-feminists’ just want to be free of the ‘macho pigs’. I see nothing wrong with that.

Feminism gave women the right to vote, the right to work and equal opportunity. You can deny history and you’re blind. You just hate the fact that women are strong enough to stand up against you.

Don’t talk to me like you know God and use his name to set judgment against me. That’s foolishness. Answer to God for what? defending women? Don’t you pretend you know how God judges.

You’ve introduced a new term, which is “macho-pigs”.

I’m not sure what to make of it. Care to define it for us?

Are 'nazi-feminists actually pig farmers who can’t handle their livestock?

Must be a mighty big problem if they see fit to march in the streets and be angry at everyone when it’s probably themselves they should be looking at in the first place.

You cticise In Spiration for “pretending” to know how God judges, yet you readily condemn him for denying history, being blind and for hating a certain fact that I can’t even see mentioned in his post.

Does this mean making assumptions about what other people think is OK for women but not for men?

Just wondering…it does seem a little bit of a double standard.

I suggest you read “Feminism: The Anti-Mary” by Paula Haigh.

Feminism is a very, very bad thing.

  1. Feminism is justified to a certain extent because our society has been and in some respects still is patriarchal.
  2. The unisex mentality has often distorted the relationship between men and women.
  3. Each sex is superior in some respects to the other and each should have corresponding rights.
  4. To demand equality** in every respect** is to disrespect both sexes

When people argue about "feminism, I like to ask each one how they define the term “feminism”. I often discover they have very different definitions of this word. Please clarify what you mean by feminism before being for or against it, so that all of us know what you are actually for or against. Thanks!

If you had bothered to read the other posts properly, you’d have noticed that just about every single poster has described feminism somehow.

You haven’t. Practice what you preach, perhaps.

All movements to correct wrongs need a bit of hyperbole. You got me looking for slogans, here’s some:

Adam and Even
Sexism: the original sin
God is just an abbreviation for Goddess
Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, only backwards and in high heels 😃

Some go much deeper:

Little girls made of sugar and spice grow up to be cheesecakes - women can be so much more than cheerleaders and kitchen housewives.
Men can stop rape - says it all.
Real men cry - did feminism also free up men to feel able to show emotion?

(I’m male btw, and re. your “disease” comment, one more feminist slogan - Sexism is a social disease ).

well you live in spain, but come here to the USA and youll see what im talking about. you want elaboration? ok, how about the fact that women in the armed forces are not required to shave their heads and they are not held up to the same physical standards. women get shorter jail sentences for the same crimes as their male counterparts. a man has absolutely no decision power regarding his child while in the womb, meaning a women can choose to have an abortion without the man’s consent. a women can hit a man, but a man cant hit a women, and theres so many more things that are unfair to men in today’s society. the thing is, i support equality, but i support TRUE equality, meaning if women want the same rights as men, they must also be held to the same standards. either that, or accept being a housewife…

Classic example of Reductio ad Hitlerum.

In other words, a style of argument that starts out of the gate all wrong.
