The logical place the Bush lied argument leads is ok, if Bush lied and the war was wrong, then the only sensible thing to support is a return to the status quo before the war.
Until late January of 2003, Democrats were saying the same things Republicans were about WMD. In some instances, Hillary’s statement about Saddam harboring Al Qaeda, they were a little more strong than the adminstration. Then, collectively, they changed their tune.
I would like to know what was said at the meeting in which they decided to start the “Bush lied” chant.
The base of the party wants to have their views expressed. They have bought and paid for the Democrat party. Move-on and the other leftist group want their say. It is their money that has supported the party.
