The report doesn’t state that.Apparently almost all 16-17 year olds are gay or bisexual! Who knew?![]()

There is no mention of sample size in the below statement. In order for that to be true assuming at least 1% of adolescents are LGB either over half of them would have had to be LGB or there is serious double counting
I was referring to homosexual acts as opposed to temptation. Still, keep in mind that homosexual lust is the same in Jesus eyes per His statement. It says homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered and contrary to the natural law, you said
Homosexuality≠homosexual acts
Even better, the number who identify as LGB is above 2% meaning either over 100% of 16-17 year olds are LGB or that many are rapidly oscillating between LGB and Heterosexual despite the fact part of the definition of sexual orientation is durable.
If the latter then the statement that
Is a rather dubious unless he is applying double standards which is dubious in a different way.
God created everything but that does not make them inherently good. The devil, evil and hell exist. Given what the Bible and Catechism clearly infer homosexuality is a design of the devil and I recommend you read this instead of postulating. You don’t have SSA anymore?
You did not feel it from puberty onward, as many homosexually-oriented people do?
Why do you feel it was created by the devil?
Does the Catholic church teach this?
Isn’t everything created by GOD.
Homosexuality may be biological, we don’t know yet. But we do know that many feel it intrinsically from childhood onward, for as long as they can remember.
For many, the knowledge of it being biological would cause them the opposite of “despair”–it would be relief.
All but accepted them!
Are you kidding?!
When people make statements like “homosexuality was created by THE DEVIL”!
How is that “accepting” them?!?
To quote others on this forum: I will…pray for you.
.
I have clearly stated that homosexuality can have other sources, such as sexual abuse or homosexual indoctrination. Still, for adults who have not suffered this the Bible is clear, being turned over to unnatural desires is the price for arrogance, look it up yourself.See this is what I mean. You are implying that homosexual persons are at fault simply for having such desires because they imply “arrogance and rejection of God.”. Your quote from the Catechism does not support your position and there is nothing in the Catechism to support your position.
As far as Scripture goes, the verse in Romans that you have cited before is cited by the CDF and the Catechism as referring to homosexual acts and not desires. You have not addressed this before when it was pointed out to you. Please respond to this point. I see you also cut off the quote I shared from Pope Francis that states the problem is not the tendency. But from your posts you appear to believe that the tendency is itself a sin.
Finally, it is very uncharitable of you to accuse Joie de Vivre of ‘rebellion’ and ignoring Holy Scripture. Just because he/she disagrees with your interpretation does not imply heresy against the Church.
Sample size is irrelevant as the way it is said means he thinks it valid across the 16 to 17 group and it uses percentThere is no mention of sample size in the below statement.
*Most teenagers will change from SSA. In fact, in the 16 to 17 year age group, 98% will move from homosexuality and bisexuality towards heterosexuality. *
You used the word homosexuality not “homosexual acts”.I was referring to homosexual acts as opposed to temptation. Still, keep in mind that homosexual lust is the same in Jesus eyes per His statement.
Regarding your attempt to diminish the report your math and logic are flawed.
BTW, you never answered my question, do you desire for the CC to accept homosexuality as normal?
It’s a faulty generalization to assume because it happened to you it can happen to all such individuals. Additionally it doesn’t explain why it didn’t go away for people such as Henri Nouwen.God created everything but that does not make them inherently good. The devil, evil and hell exist. Given what the Bible and Catechism clearly infer homosexuality is a design of the devil and I recommend you read this instead of postulating.
BTW, I did have SSA and worse. They are gone thanks to Jesus. there are millions of people who no longer have them either. the gay lobby does not want you to know this.
Thanks for you prayers, you are in mine too. Paz.
To some people the Bible is clear that he had one nature, to others that he had two; to some Jesus was just a man, to others he is purely divine or half and half; to some the Bible only condemns adultery and fornication is okay. The quote you like to throw around is used by the Church to say “homosexual acts” are sinful, it is never used to explain the etiology. It also doesn’t make sense how “pride” by those too young to actually be culpable for sins can make them gay.I have clearly stated that homosexuality can have other sources, such as sexual abuse or homosexual indoctrination. Still, for adults who have not suffered this the Bible is clear, being turned over to unnatural desires is the price for arrogance, look it up yourself.
Regarding homosexual acts vs desires, Jesus states that if a man lusts a women in his heart he has already committed adultery. Homosexual desires are no different. Only temptations are not sins. It is important to understand this distinction.
Your math and logic are flawed, sorry.Sample size is irrelevant as the way it is said means he thinks it valid across the 16 to 17 group and it uses percent
You used the word homosexuality not “homosexual acts”.
If “98% will move from homosexuality and bisexuality towards heterosexuality” then the LGB who remain are 1/50th of the original number, divide the percent given in other studies on percent of teens who are LGBT (1-5%) by 1/50 which yields 50-250%.
It’s a faulty generalization to assume because it happened to you it can happen to all such individuals. Additionally it doesn’t explain why it didn’t go away for people such as Henri Nouwen.

God is not Santa Claus, he doesn’t shower gifts on those who think they’ve been good.
“There is no mention of sample size” is NEVER a selling point for a study. Ever. Scientific studies include sample size and margin of error, among many other things. There is no mention of sample size in the below statement.

How is my math flawed? If it is you should easily be able to prove it.Your math and logic are flawed, sorry.
The Church does not say this, and as Catholics we should believe the Church over private interpretations. Please be aware that the Catechism states no such thing, the Pope has said differently, the CDF has stated no such thing, etc. Your interpretation is at odds with what the Church has said. I really hope you take that into consideration.I have clearly stated that homosexuality can have other sources, such as sexual abuse or homosexual indoctrination. Still, for adults who have not suffered this the Bible is clear, being turned over to unnatural desires is the price for arrogance, look it up yourself.
You are very confused my friend. The study was a compilation be a research biochemist and statistician and only has been rejected by the gay lobby such as yourself.“There is no mention of sample size” is NEVER a selling point for a study. Ever. Scientific studies include sample size and margin of error, among many other things.
To everyone else, the “study” she is referring to has been denounced by the national and global scientific community. The organization that published it makes millions a year “changing” people’s sexual orientation. You can do a quick google and read all about how the “data” was selectively pulled from decades old studies and manipulated.
(It’s the mygenes thing she keeps posting. It was done by NARTH.)
You need to read the study my friend, the information is clearly spelled out.How is my math flawed? If it is you should easily be able to prove it.
The Catechism says that homosexuality’s genesis is psychological, fact. The Church does not say this, and as Catholics we should believe the Church over private interpretations. Please be aware that the Catechism states no such thing, the Pope has said differently, the CDF has stated no such thing, etc. Your interpretation is at odds with what the Church has said. I really hope you take that into consideration.
Psychological can include biological causes but this is besides the point that the Catechism does not say the condition is due to arrogance and rejection of God as you claim it is. The CDF and the Catechism cite those verses in Romans as regards homosexual actions. This is a fact. Your interpretation of what the Bible says is at odds with that the Catholic Church says. I believe the Church. The Catechism says that homosexuality’s genesis is psychological, fact.
The Bible says homosexuality’s origin is pride and rebellion, fact.
You are wrong. The Catechism claims that homosexuality is psychological, not biological.Psychological can include biological causes but this is besides the point that the Catechism does not say the condition is due to arrogance and rejection of God as you claim it is. The CDF and the Catechism cite those verses in Romans as regards homosexual actions. This is a fact. Your interpretation of what the Bible says is at odds with that the Catholic Church says. By saying what you are saying you do two things. First, you disagree with the Pope and leading Church authorities on the matter. Second, you are judging Henri Nouwen guilty of arrogance and rejection of God. Henri Nouwen was a Catholic priest. You should really think about this.
You are wrong about the citation of Romans in the Catechism. Your opinion is at odds with the Pope and the CDF. I’m done discussing the matter with you. I will pray for you.You are wrong. The Catechism claims that homosexuality is psychological, not biological.
Second, Romans clearly explains the cause of homosexuality and is referenced in the Catechism as well.
As far as certain people suffering from SSA or acting on them, Jesus will help and forgive them if they ask just like He helped me.
Romans is cited in the Catechism regarding homosexuality. You are wrong about the citation of Romans in the Catechism. Your opinion is at odds with the Pope and the CDF. I’m done discussing the matter with you. I will pray for you.
That 141 is specifically for “Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity” which anyone who has studied the Catechism would know so I do not understand why you are quoting something you surely know doesn’t actually help your argument.Romans is cited in the Catechism regarding homosexuality.
*Chastity and homosexuality
2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained.
