Hi
i wonder, is praying with any body you want a sin if your supperiors, such as (Guardians, or Parents, Professor looking after you) tell you not to, for example if a none believer parent tells you its okay to pray alone but talking about the faith and praying with other people is out of hand, or a Brother (Guardian) tells you not to pray with other people because its not normal or a Professor wouldn’t want the family of another person to complain that his student is getting there child or family member to pray because there not sprirtual.

I agree with 1ke that you need to talk to your priest about it, as well, I will edit my other posts to reflect this as well as his advice here is obvious but overlooked by me as well. My priest was very open to discussing things and spent over an hr with me answering my questions. I would go on to say that many people think that a priest does not understand your sins, but it is the opposite that is true. Who better to help you with the subject of sin than one who helps many about sin including himself.

But yet, you are asking your question here, so, I will do my best to give my answer, and as always, I may be wrong.

The problem as I understand it about praying with others is two fold. The first is in the nature of the prayer. What are you praying for? Who are you praying to? What is the prayer? The obvious wrong would be to worship a false god (the golden calf). But the not so obvious wrong is in very slight maladjustments and heresies of other statements such as allowing what you may think as benign things into your common practice because of others. An example is not making the sign of the cross to open and close a prayer because you are not in the company of others who understand the reason for it.

But altogether you have not stated enough information for someone to assist you properly. You are leaving out much and making many generalities, so, any more specific advice may not fit correctly.
