I am looking for the passage in scripture that instructs one to first attempt to resolve disputes on the personal level (with one’s brother) and if that fails to go to a next level, and then finally to the courts. That’s roughly paraphrased and I’d like to have the correct book, chapter and verse for citation. I’ve checked 1 Cor 6 but that’s not the right one.

Any suggestions?

Thanks very much in advance.

Matthew 18:15-18 may be a good starting point. Only it does not deal with the courts, rather it deals with the Church.

God bless,

Thank you! That’s exactly the passage I was looking for! Bravo!
