Nun Volunteering as Abortion Clinic Escort in Illinois

Sr. Quinn’s prioress said in an email response to LSN that the nun sees her volunteer activity as "accompanying women who are verbally abused by protestors."

I don’t get it. Why is Sr.Quinn allowed to do something that is so patently anti-life? And why does her order allow this to happen, even support her efforts. This is just plain wrong.

I am shocked. Especially having been educated by Dominican nuns. Those sisters were absolute sticklers for doing things as the Church teaches. How very sad this is.

The Church attaches the canonical penalty of excommunication to this crime against human life. “A person who procures a completed abortion incurs excommunication latae sententiae,” “by the very commission of the offense,” and subject to the conditions provided by Canon Law.” (Catechism 2272).

Someone needs to contact her superior so that she gets some sorely needed educatio and correction!
