It has always seemed to me that it is presumptuous of us to be able to offer the Body and Blood of Jesus to His Father when reciting the Divine Chaplet. It’s a beautiful prayer and I say it daily but it somewhat bothers me that I am so bold as to offer to God His own Son. How do you interpret this?

It’s not at all presumptuous. We take Jesus physically into ourselves in Holy Communion every time we receive - Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity.

It is not presumptuous of us to do this. He himself commanded us to do so.

Nor is it presumptuous to offer that which we have received to the Father either. Jesus commanded St Faustina to do so and to teach others to do so.

In fact I dare say part of the reason we have been given so great and precious a gift as the Eucharist is so that we can make such uses of it.

we do this in every Mass when we join our prayers with that of the priest in making this offering. Next time you are at Mass, or have a missal in your hand, really read and meditate with the Eucharistic prayers.
