I have been a bit worried about World Youth Day, because of my inability to walk certain distances and there’s one walk that’s gonna be a big one – well, two… actually but one in particular I was worried about. It’s from Sydney central to Barangaroo which is where the Pope will be arriving it’s about 5kms. Just thinking about it makes my heart leap out of my chest with fear. I tried talking to our coordinators but they are so busy and stressed that they couldn’t really help with my much. My two friends told me there was not a chance I’d be able to do it… so I told them I was over stressing and that I was going to pray for God’s most Divine Intervention. One friend said that God might have been intervening by telling me to use my head and take a kind offer he was trying to give (that I knew just wouldn’t work out for me) … but anyway, I prayed for God to intervene and help me stop worrying and trust that he’ll provide…
And so imagine my praises when I open up my email the next day to find out that I won a competition that was held on a Catholic WYD site to be part of the actual boat-a-cade that is carrying the Holy Father in to the harbour. I board the boat from Sydney harbour and it goes all around the way to Barangaroo and I don’t have to walk a single step and I don’t even need to get off the boat… I don’t need to do any walking except for getting a bus to the harbour front… the rest will be taken care of. How awesome is God??
I was telling this story to my friend and he was sooo blown away by it and was like, “CAN I COME WITH YOU?? I WANT TO COME WITH YOU!! YOU ARE SO LUCKY!!” A friend of his walked past her and stopped me to tell me she was really touched (by a talk that I gave on tuesday night about my journey with WYD) he asked me to tell her the story. She then told us a miraculous story about Divine Intervention, so my friend was like!!! “Pray for ME to meet The Pope!!!” we said we would, “God willing”
Not 5 minutes later, someone told HIM he was also going to be part of the boat-a-cade!!!
God is so good!! Last night I asked God to come in to my life and help me apply the last part of Ephesians 6 in to my life cos right now I feel like I’m getting sick and I want to stand tall against any attacks… and The Holy Spirit came over me like I don’t know what and I was able to pray like I have never prayed before. I was left almost in tears… It was intense, but so amazing!!! I hope God is with me every single time I pray because I felt so uplifted afterwards, like my trust is in Him only and no matter what, He’ll provide during my trip to Sydney.
I’d also like to ask everyone who reads this to help pray out the sickness I feel cos me being sick usually turns a bit serious and I can’t have that on such a trip for God!! =)

haha I’ll be the one wearing my tourist-liek AUSTRALIA hoodie waving like a nut at the Pope and possibly attempting to leave the boat to walk on water to get closer to him!!!
