Which Eastern Catholic Church is this and I’m guessing this is the divine liturgy of St John Chrysostom?

Also what was the occasion?

This is great! But what’s the big deal? Why all the seemingly fuss?

His Beatitude Sviatoslav is the Patriarch of Kiev-Halych and All Rus (Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church). I would be the Divine Liturgy of St John Chrysostom. 🙂

Wow. I wish I could have been there. As the link in one article states, the exclusive right to celebrate Holy Mass at The Altar at St. Peter’s belongs exclusively to the Pope (and only those HH allows) so it was quite the privilege for the Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church HB Sviatoslav to be given the privilege to Celebrate the Divine Liturgy in Ukrainian at St. Peter’s Basilica. Here is a link to a five-minute youtube video (in Ukrainian) which shows how the Altar was prepared for the said Liturgy (icons, etc.), the Pope greeting the faithful with the Ukrainian “Slava Isusu Khrystu!” or Glory Be to Jesus Christ!

The video in Ukrainian is called “Ukrainian Day at St. Peter’s Basilica”:

See, seeing such a beautiful liturgy is what makes me say to myself, “I want to learn more about that.”
