I don’t know if this is the right place for this, but I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good reading material to familiarize myself with the Divine Liturgy of St John Chrysostom used by Ukrainian Catholics.

Ideally perhaps one book with the “order” of the Liturgy and one describing the tradition behind the liturgy.

I could point you in the direction of some Orthodox books, but I am not sure that is what you are looking for.

This isn’t related specifically to the Ukranians, but I would imagine the Liturgy is the same. The only differences may be some of the Slavic subtleties such as the type of Prosphora used. Without a doubt, the following title is a must-have for a deeper understanding of the Liturgy through the lens of the Church Fathers:

• The Divine Liturgy: A Commentary in the Light of the Fathers

It is a different version that the Byzantine Catholic Church (USA) uses than the Ukrainian Catholic, but similar. There is a PDF here:

**** The EWTN website would be helpful, as they have PDFs of The Divine Liturgy of St John Chrysostom…
Also check out byzcath.org.

There is a free ebook I downloaded from Amazon for my Kindle.
