Perhaps you saw the mass and blessing of the Icon/Monstrance at St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish in Chicago yesterday, televised on EWTN. This is a beautiful nine-foot-tall monstrance that will be the centerpiece of a Sanctuary of Divine Mercy to be built near downtown Chicago. It’s a long story that can be read at amothersplea.org Also, check this site: amillionsouls.com for an image of the monstrance and more details.

Currently, the parish is sponsoring a “Mercy Festival 2008,” from May 31 to June 8, which involves 24-hour Eucharistic Adoration on those days. At the above website, you can find out the details. I’ve been to the church a few times. It is a holy place. I saw the monstrance from a distance yesterday and it is absolutely beautiful. If you live in or near Chicago, I would encourage you to visit this beautiful place and spend some time with our Lord. It’s easily accessible – check those websites.

I wanted to let people know about this. I hope this is the right venue. Thank you and God bless.

Dan
