Divine Mercy Chaplet/Novena for personal intentions?

Can the Divine Mercy chaplet be prayed with personal prayer petitions?

I know for the Divine Mercy chaplet novena each day is to be prayed for certain groups of people but is it is similar to a rosary novena where you can offer it in petition for a particular grace?

For example, offering the chaplet in petition for the grace to grow in the virtue of chastity/humility/faith, etc?

Is this something anyone has done? If so, is there a format I should follow as far as when to include my own petitions?

Yep, any prayer can be prayed for any intention.

Except prayers for the souls in Purgatory.

You can pray the Divine Mercy or any other prayer for any petition or personal intentions.

Just like you can offer mass for any intention.
