You are correct, bcprincess — it can be found in article #313 of the Diary. I had to look for it, since I did not remember that she had wept over it. But Our Lord replied to her, Not in the beauty of the color, nor of the brush, lies the greatness of this image, but in My grace."
He put it so much better than me hee hee 😊

I’ve never really liked most of the images of the Divine Mercy and I couldn’t figure out why. Then I went on a search and found out that it’s probably because the popular image isnt the original. Here is the original that St Faustina had gotten drawn up and it’s my very favorite image Jesus as the Divine Mercy. He has a beautiful, masculine and gentle features.
Thank you. I felt the same way and have felt a little guilty about it. The painting you show is much better than the popular one. I do hope many gifted artists will take up the challenge.

I am planning on reciting the Divine Mercy Chaplet this Lent.Am I correct in my understanding that the recitation begins on Good Friday, continuing until Divine Mercy Sunday?
The Novena begins Good Friday and ends the Sunday after Easter, which is Divine MErcy Sunday.
