One of the reasons Blessed Faustina devoted her life to the apostolate of mercy for the world is because Jesus allowed her to see a vision of hell. She saw the pain and sufferring especially of non-believers and lukewarm souls that did not believe in the existence of hell. This especially inspired her to constantly pray in union with Jesus, the most powerful form of prayer known to the world through the prayer that He inspired her of…The Chaplet of the Divine Mercy. Read about her vision of hell.

A friend of mine was put off Faustina by her vision of hell - I think it was especially the thought that there might be souls in hell that put him off. 😦

Wow. Did you talk about it? I’m curious as to why this person felt that way. It is scary to know that there is a hell, but thats why God gave us laws to live by., so we will make the right choices or there will be consequences.

Also, let’s not forget about the Novena to the Divine Mercy. During a course of 9 days you pray for all mankind, priest and religious, faithful souls, those who do not know God, those who are separated from the church, little children, those who venerate God’s mercy, souls in purgatory and those who became lukewarm. Those who have the Diary of St. Faustina, may look up prayers and reflections for each day of the novena in paragraphs 1209 through 1230 - last few pages of notbook four.

The church teaches us that the Eucharist is a fountain of grace and mercy. In her revelations, Blessed Faustina was given the chaplet to obtain mercy for the whole world as an act of solidarity with the suffering Son united with Him through the Eucharist. The most powerful form of prayer. …
👍

Beautiful answer. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy - a priestly prayer united to the Eucharist, not separate from it … :gopray2:

I don’t really have anything to add except that I had never prayed the Chaplet of Divine Mercy before I read this thread. Then I got interested.

Then watched on EWTN the Divine Mercy Chaplet in song, and it was quite beautiful. I am a manly guy, and when I sat and watched and focused on it I felt my eyes well up. 😛
