There is no correlation between Divine Mercy devotion and traditionalists. Some love the devotion (such as Yours Truly), while other’s don’t. It’s pretty much the same curve as the entire Church. Our FSSP parish sings the chaplet every year on the Sunday.

I know of one friend who calls himself a ‘traditional Catholic’ who rejects Divine Mercy as heresy. (I’m surprised this person hasn’t gone to SSPX to be honest). There are others who go to EF Mass and don’t bother with it as they see it as something ‘modern’. It does annoy me when ‘traditionalists’ reject it just to appear superior. Oddly enough many of them don’t have any problem with Fatima though.

A lot of rad trads subscribe to a kind of Catholic version of Calvinism that they derive from Aquinas. In their theology, God has already selected who is going to heaven and no amount of begging for Divine Mercy is going to help the rest. Hence, in their eyes, the Divine Mercy message is heretical through and through.

Our FSSP parish recites the Divine Mercy chaplet during Mass every year on Divine Mercy Sunday, and the priests remind us about the indulgence. The confession line is even longer than usual on that day.
