In a booklet on Divine Mercy that I have published by the Association of Marian Helpers its states on page 46:
It is greatly recommended that the following novena intentions and prayers be said together with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, since Our Lord specifically asked for a novena of Chaplets, especially before the Feast of Mercy.

God bless and a Happy Easter to all!
Our Lord wanted for Saint Faustina to say a Novena of “Chaplets” so one would say the Novena prayer for Day 1 and then pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet…and continue in this way for the other 8 days of the Novena. Now do I just say this prayer.
or Do I say this prayer in combination with the chaplet
if I say it in combo with the Chaplet do I pray the prayer first then do the chaplet.
What is the custom

Yep, you pray the novena prayer together with the Chaplet.I prayed the prayer that you linked to - is that all? Or do I need to pray the chaplet as well?

I usually start the first 3 prayers of the Chaplet (Our Father, Hail Mary and Creed) on the 3 beads where you would normally say the 3 Hail Mary’s. Then on the next single bead say the **“Eternal Father” **and 10 “For the sake of his sorrowful passion…have mercy on us and on the whole world” where you usually would say the 10 Hail Mary’s…then on next single bead the “Eternal Father” again… continuing in this way til you reach the end of the Chaplet where you would say “Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal one…have mercy on us and on the whole world” three times.I have a quickie question. When you do the chaplet, do you only use the beads on the decades? Not the cross or the 3 beads after the cross or the medal? I’m kinda confused as to exactly how to do it.
Thanks
Hope this helps.
