On reading the OP I think they are referring to an indulgence that requires receiving Holy Communion on Divine Mercy Sunday, not the Easter duty.

May be one could ask first. Out of interest what did I write that gave you doubt? I would like to avoid creating such doubt again.
I don’t think it was clear from the original post but as the OP made further posts it did get cleared up. The OP had said that we are obliged to receive Communion on Easter Sunday. No one else had said this was not the only time we can fulfil our Easter Duty so I wanted to clarify.

I think my confusion was that you just said that we are not obliged to receive on Easter Sunday but we are obliged to go to Mass.
While that is correct it does not indicate (or did not indicate to me) that we are obliged to receive during the Easter season. Phrasing something more like the Easter duty does not have to be fulfilled on Easter Sunday would have made it clearer.

What I was trying to say is the obligation, as on all Sundays, is to go to Mass. There exists no obligation to receive communion. With hindsight (which is wonderful) I can see how in this context it may have given rise to some confusion. I ought to have added the Easter Duty need not be fulfilled on Easter Sunday.

@TomH1 @Elf01. Yup, I knew you had to be in a state of grace to receive. Sorry about any confusion I may have caused anyone. I was asking about Divine Mercy Sunday but was thinking it was the same Sunday as Easter. I knew it was not an Obligation to receive on Easter Sunday. Just poor wording on my part. I failed, lol.
I know though under certain circumstances you can receive if you go to the next available reconciliation. Like when I was incarcerated and we only had the opportunity once a month if we had a Priest that month. The Deacon normally did our service every Sunday. We had special permission by the Bishop of the diocese that the facility was in to receive and then go to confession first available opportunity. I know there are other situations where this could be done also.
The reason I was asking about receiving on Easter Sunday was because I wanted to participate in the Divine Mercy Indulgence. However I had a brainfart and Divine Mercy Sunday is not the same Sunday as Easter Sunday, forgot, lol. My Catholic peeps on hear cleared it up for me
My understanding you have to recieve Communion on Divine Mercy Sunday and of course be in a state of grace. To receive the Indulgence. Sometimes I am dumb, haha.

Not yet. Will do some calling around on Monday or Tuesday to the Catholic Churches in my area.
