In a parish bulletin, the ways to observe Divine Mercy Sunday included the following:

“**Perform some act or make a gesture of deep religious respect toward the image because of Who it represents.”
**
What is an example of such an act or gesture?

Thanks ahead of time for your (name removed by moderator)ut.

For myself, I have a picture of Divine Mercy as I come into my front room at home. I put a kiss on my fingers and place them on the Heart of Jesus acknowledging my love for Him and His Love and Mercy for me/us. I do this frequently.

You could also pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy in front of the image. It’s not long…you can do it in less than 15 minutes.

There are different things that you can do, like bow in front of it, genuflect, make the sign of the cross, kneel, or pray in front of it, for example, or like Jamal said, pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy in front of it, too. 🙂
