Divine Office apps for iPhone

I’ve heard of Universalis and iBreviary but I am hoping to get some opinions/recommendations.

I’d love an app that has audio as well, for me to pray along with.

Divine Office from Surgeworks is what you’re looking for. Text and audio for all the offices. About $20, though.

It’s been great for me. I rarely use the books anymore.

PS - The hymns are generally great. I don’t know many of the hymns in the 4-volume so it’s good to know how they actually go!

$20 is a bit pricey, but then, the other one’s aren’t cheap either.

I hear 'ya … I held off for a long time too for that same reason. But now I’m really glad I did it. And the $20 is far cheaper than buying the full 4-volume.

Please note the $20 option is for text/audio for all the offices. I think you can get text/audio for just morning/evening prayer for about $5. And text only is free.

I’ve found the audio to be well worth it. Mostly I just use it for the hymns then I pray on my own after that. Sometimes, though, when it gets hectic at the office I run the full audio for morning/evening prayer and pray it in my car on my commute. Big time savings on those days. And I’m an earlier riser too so I’ll often use the audio with my headphones to pray the Office of Readings on my morning jog. Believe it or not that has turned out to be a tremendously grace filled time of day for me!
