Howdy!
I’ve been praying the Liturgy of the Hours for a few years, and slowly have been integrating the pre-conciliar Divinum Officium to my prayer life. To deepen my prayer life in this area, my spiritual director recommended The School Of Prayer: An Introduction to the Divine Office for All Christians, found here:amazon.com/The-School-Prayer-Introduction-Christians/dp/0814620280
Does anyone have any experience with this book? I understand that it is doctrinally solid and spiritually rigorous, so to speak, but could I use it for both breviaries? I would think the reflections on the psalms could transfer over rather easily, but I’m just curious if anyone has experience with this book and its use in praying the older Roman breviary and has any advice, one way or another. Thanks
and may God
