Asking this for my Dad…

He was, until recently, a candidate for the Oblate program with a certain monastery of Benedictine derivation… They used this prayer book, because it had the 2 week Psalm cycle and the peppers for the Benedictine saints.
He has since left the group, for reasons that are irrelevant, but having to do mostly with excessive ecuminism.
He’s been going regularly to Mass and to say the office with the local Rosarian monks. (Who are splendid!)
Here’s the question: as the monks are Indian, they use the British Divine Office books, not the U.S. LOTH set.
Dad’s trying to figure out if he should get a set of the Divine Office books, or a LOTH set. I’ve taken my LOTH set, and the Psalms are the same, but the antiphons and the readings are definitely not… The antiphons are scarcely recognizable.
I know that technically, the Divine Office isn’t approved for the US…
Since he’ll be praying both with them and at home, does anyone have a suggestion?

As a lay man, he can pray with whatever books he wants…or none at all, as he has no obligation to anything in particular. Since he intends on praying the Office with the monks, it would make sense for him to get a copy of the books they use, in my opinion. He can use that on his own too. And If he wants to pray the LOTH on his own, he can find online versions for free as well.
