Divorce and the Eastern Catholics

Does anybody know how the Eastern Rite Catholics handle divorce? Do they issue annulments like the Roman Catholics, or do they handle them like the Eastern Orthodox? The EO tend to take an Old Testament approach, granting what they call an Ecclesial (Church) divorce after the civil divorce has been granted.

There is no divorce within the Catholic Church. Period.

The Code of Canons of the Eastern Catholic Churches is substantially the same as the Code of Canon Law for the Latin Church in both of those regards. There are situations in which separation even through civil divorce is permitted and there are tribunals that investigate causes of marital invalidity. Both codes are available online and can be compared.

The Catholic Churches do not “handle” divorce per se.

Certainly none of the Catholic Churches permit the remarriage of a civilly divorced person outside a declaration of invalidity (namely, that a marriage was invalid at the time it was celebrated and this is declared after canonical investigation), or the application of a privilege in favor of the faith or a dissolution of a non consummated marriage.
 
Like the Coptic Orthodox Church, the Coptic Catholic Church practices annulments. But unlike the Coptic Orthodox Church, the Coptic Catholic Church does not practice divorce.
