My apologies for creating an issue … I was just wondering if the husband’s issues were with the type of Church rather than just the regular Catholic Church … my apologies for bringing it up.

No no. You didn’t. All is well.
I unsubscribed, but still got a notice, That’s weird. Oh well.
 
This is an abusive situation. If my husband was abusive I would separate but still consider myself his wife and pray for his spiritual wellbeing. Just because you cant divorce it doesn’t mean you have to stay and be abused.

As to whether you can get an annulment the woman would need to speak to a priest to work that out.

Ella, if you are this wife then you should consult with a priest about this intolerable situation in your marriage. No husband, on any planet, has any right to forbid his wife from attending religious services, and that includes the Mass. No one is asking him to go. Divorce is a last resort but it can be considered in some abusive cases. A wise and holy priest can help you sort all this out. Let us know how things work out. People on this forum care about you and your family. :flowers:
