I pray that my husband Todd has a change of heart and decides not to go forward with divorce. I am a recovering alcoholic and the wreckage of my past has caused much pain to my husband and two children. I pray that God removes from me the obsession to drink and destroy our lives. I pray that he heals my family. I pray that I will become the best wife and mother I can be. Please God, hear my prayers.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting suffering as a pathway to peace,
And taking as Jesus did,
This sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Lord, help us to remember when we first met and the strong love that grew between us.

To work that love into practical things so nothing can divide us.

We ask for words both kind and loving, and for hearts always ready to ask forgiveness as well as to forgive.

Dear Lord, we put our marriage into Your hands.

Amen.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.

Amen.

God Bless.

I hope your husband is attending Alanon meetings. If not, there is support for him at Alanon. The members will not advise him to divorce or not divorce, but he will get support. And learn the 12 steps for his own life.

Dear Lord, please help this family to see and follow Your will forthem, and to rely on You rather than on themselves.

I ask this is the Name of Thy beloved Son, Jesus Christ.

Dear OP you will get regular prayerful support if you start a prayer thread in the prayer forum.I pray in the meantime for God to help you both.
God bless

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Prayers your way. And don’t neglect whatever problems make you seek comfort or oblivion in drinking.
