Urrgh! It feels like it wont end. DW wants a permanent no contact order in place…I still do not get it. She assaults me, wants a divorce, goes no contact for months, still no contact, then wants it to become forever. I guess no communication is a great way to solve all problems.
Gambino, as painful as it is, you have a lawyer for a reason. Let your lawyer talk with her lawyer. Try to do one good thing for yourself each day that does NOT involve in any way, shape or form your ex- and keep thinking “ex” because she has made it very clear that’s what she wants to be.
You hurt now, and it’s a very real hurt. I am sure your normal manly pride has been attacked, and you are feeling a definite lack of confidence.
Maybe not one year from now, maybe not two years from now, but somewhere down the line, your hurt will ease. Right now, stay in therapy. See if you can find a group of Catholics going through this, sometimes called Phoenix group in some dioceses.
