My husband’s brother and sister in law was married
outside the Catholic church by a minister, both came
from divorce. He was married civil and she was married
by a baptist minister. Both are attending a Catholic church
and receiving communion. I spoke to her about
convalidating their marriage before receiving communion
she feels that rule was made by man and getting
married outside of the Catholic church is ok since
the Catholic church is not the only way to God. She also
believe in confessing straight to God not through a priest
In a loving way, I asked her to schedule an appointment
with our priest to get her questions answered and I asked
her to pray to our Lord to guide both of them and I will
pray for the same. Any suggestions???
