Just goes to show, winning a Nobel prize doesn’t mean you’re right about anything, necessarily. (ahem, ahem)

His partner in DNA structure determination, Francis Crick, was not much better.

Paul suggested this about the professed “wisdom” of this world.

Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they have not glorified him as God or given thanks: but became vain in their thoughts. And their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 For, professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.
Rom 1:23 And they changed the glory of the incorruptible God into the likeness of the image of a corruptible man and of birds, and of fourfooted beasts and of creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore, God gave them up to the desires of their heart, unto uncleanness: to dishonour their own bodies among themselves.
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 🤷

But what does Paul know?

This scientist has advice for that scientist: stick to your chemicals and lab, where you seem to know what you’re doing, and stop mouthing off in areas you clearly don’t.

Merely because someone is good in science, it does not imply excellence or suitability even in any other area. And Watson and Crick provide proof of that.

I wonder, though, with all the biochemistry and x-rays involved in the work that made them famous, whether or not there were, perhaps, a few side effects from the radiation and fumes ? 😃

Blessings,

Gerry

A good point aganist atheists/agnostics that say that science should completely replace religion and direct ethics alone. Science tell us how and why? But not if something is right or wrong. This is a case example of great scientist being complete morons outside their area of expertise.
