I’m trying to find what St. Origen is patron saint of but can’t find anything. Do some saints not have patronages assigned to them?

No they don’t.
The reason of the patronages are recorded miracles done in a saint’s name. Another reason is based on the life of saints.
But you can ask any saint for what you need and maybe they can help. Patronages are an advise from the church as far as I know. If you want to pray for A pray to St. X.

Patronage, think of it like a mentor.
If you got toe cancer tomorrow, there is likely a cancer support group. It does not mean that your friends and family cannot support you through this treatment. People who have BTDT are also important in getting through.
Same goes for prayer, while we ask everyone to pray for us, sometimes it helps to ask a Saint to pray for us, one who went through or knew about the same thing when they were on the earth.
