If he had on a t-shirt with Alice Cooper on it that would be another not so good sign:eek:
BWA-HA-HA! How about a Black Sabbath T-shirt–with holes in the back to accommodate wings (or would it be a tail?)–either way, I’m with the Holy H2O and gone poster!😃

Who is Alice Cooper? However, any angel in a t-shirt would still get doused with Holy Water! In fact, any angel is likely to confronted by my Crucifix until I’m sure which side they’re on!

However, if I ever see an angel, (before I’m on my deathbed, that is), I’ll ask him what he thinks of this thread! Probably would elicit a “belly laugh”, at least!! 😃

I know this question sounds rather silly, but I’d like to know your thoughts on this question. Do they or don’t they have bellybuttons? and Why or why not.

Blessings
No, they have wings !🤷

No, but they do have these…

Alice Cooper is a hard rock singer with a really bad attitude and once he ate a bat during a stage show!

Pretty sure it was Ozzy Osbourne that ate the bat. And as we learned from Wayne’s World, Alice Cooper is probably too smart to eat bats on stage. I mean, anyone that knows the history of Mil-ee-wauk-ay would know that bats carry rabies.

Thanks! I knew it was one of those guys. (Bats carry rabies here in Rockford, Illinois, too.) Some folks call it Rock-Bottom.🤷

UGH!!! Definitely douse any apparitions with THAT T- shirt with holy water!!!

Actually, just as interesting as the original question, is whether or not Adam and Eve had navals, as neither of them were born of women, necessarily therefore having umbilical cords in order to live in the mother.

Maybe God gave them navals so that they would look like us, but they didn’t need them as we did.

Wonder who told Eve what to do with the umbilical cord the first time!! After all, no one taught either of them about childbirth while they were in Eden – or did They?

Another interesting question: Do Angels really have wings? If so, how many? 2, 4, 6???🙂

And since they are spirits, do they really need wings? Maybe to get through all the hot air on earth when they visit here???😃

The idea that angels appear to humans by manipulating atoms around them I’ve heard before, I think, in “The Mystical City of God” (online).

But, we have few incidents in Scripture where angels “touch” people, like where Lot and his family were led by the hand out of the city, like St. Raphael in Tobit doing physical things while dwelling among men, and how the angels “gather” and “cast” the condemned into Hell in the Final Judgement.

Because of these things, I believe angels have the power to and have indeed physically manifested themselves, such that they can physically interact with nature.

Would they have attended the “Naval Academy”?😃 (Anchors Away! OOPS fire in the Engine Room)🤷

The “bellybutton” is what’s left from the umbilical cord, a necessity for placental mammals and people in utero. As angels do not have material bodies and do not gestate, there is absolutely no reason for them to have them, and they do not. Nevertheless, if an angel were to take on the form of man, they might have one for that reason.
But according to that logic, they wouldn’t have a need for any normal organs or anatomy. Yet artists over the centuries have chosen to depict them that way and the Church has never criticised them for doing so. Thus we can say the Church had no objection to angels being depicted with fully functioning human bodies, including genitals, mammaries and other organs which they would clearly not need seeing they do not reproduce.

Would it nor make more sense to say that if they chose to take on human form, they fully look like humans, regardless of whether the respective organs would be needed or not?

My guardian angel manifests a physical presence at times.
Yes, I think that is an experience I have had too! However, my most precious memory of my Guardian Angel is from when I was in my very early teens, going through a very bad time with my family having serious problems. I went to bed that night, very upset and frightened, and asked my Guardian Angel to protect me. I actually started to go to sleep with one arm and hand outside the covers beyond the bed, wanting someone to hold my hand. To this day, I can remember feeling a hand taking mine and holding it warmly and tenderly until I fell asleep feeling peaceful, and nothing bad happened during the night. I still believe it was my Guardian Angel holding my hand! That next morning I felt his/its name was Michael, which was my favorite name, and I have called him/it by that name ever since. Have never felt a physical presence like that again (it’s been 60 years not) but sometimes feel his/its presence when I am sad or worried as a warm presence in my room. Perhaps only a child’s imagination, but I don’t think so!🙂
