Do Angel’s still have freewill? Can an Angel turn away from God now? Can a fallen Angel turn back towards God? I somehow intuitively know that the answer has something to do with them being outside of time as we know it. Help !

Angels had the free will to choose whether or not to follow God only once. They made their decisions and are now stuck with whatever they chose.

Hope this helps,
Tim

Your questions, although in appearance simple, touch on some very deep issues concerning God and His Creation Plan
The short answers for your questions are yes, yes and yes.
The longer answers are yes angels and mankind maintain forever their freewill unless they submit and surrender their freewill to the slavery of Satan.
Yes an angel could turn away due to freewill but will not due to the graces given when they accepted to be obedient to God.
Yes fallen angels can turn back to God the same as we could but they and we who choose Hell will never turn back.
To get even longer and deeper answers to your questions you might read the City of God, by God through Mary of Agreda, Vol. I, Chapter VII, starting on page 83

Angels were created with free will, but their mode of knowing is different from ours. They do not have bodies, senses, or sensory (name removed by moderator)ut. They know the nature of things intuitively. When they decide, they decide with all the information. There is nothing that could cause a “change of mind.”

So when an angel makes a decision, i.e.–a decision for or against God, it is a decision made once and for all. An angel by it’s very nature does not have a change of heart.

So the answers are:

–Yes. Angels have freewill.
–No. An angel who has once decided for God cannot turn away from God now.
–No, a fallen angel cannot turn back toward God.

Great explanation, Jim

An angel does have freewill. They all do.
When we are in Heaven (by the grace of God) we will have free will. However we will not sin, and we cannot sin because it will not be in our nature. Yet we retain free will.
Just as we have free will on earth, yet cannot fly or hold our breath for an hour, we will have free will in Heaven, but not be able to sin.

A fallen angel is permanently cut off from grace so repentance is impossible for them.

Thanks! my mind is now at ease.
