Do Animals go to Heaven?

I know this is probably a silly question that you have gotten many times, but do you think animals go to heaven? I realize that heaven is a spiritual place, but do you think that animals have spirits? I love animals. I have had many pets in my lifetime, and they were all individuals with their own special personalities. I would hate to think that heaven would be without them.
