Do any Catholics like Southern Gospel music?

I grew up in the south, so it would nearly be an impossiblity for me not to like southern gospel. I’d much rather listen to some of the older songs then what passes as Christian music today.

Just a question, is the song WHY ME by Krist Kristopherson considered southern gospel? I love that song.

Yes, I do. But you have to watch out for some stations. They will mingle anti-catholic programs in their program schedule. Some of my favorites were JD Sumner and the Stamps, the Cathedrals, and the Gaithers. There is also a few on RFD-TV

Do you remember the song the Gaither’s sang, The Church Triumphant? I have always thought that would make a fine Catholic song.
