I’m not a priest. I’m a woman.
I think that my priests would be glad that many people love the Lord so much that they are concerned that the Mass be done correctly and reverently. They would examine their practices and make corrections if they have allowed things to slip. And I think they would apologize to us, their congregation, if they have changed the liturgy.
I also think that the priests that I know would wonder if the people who spend so much time on this forum arguing about rules also spend time out in the world performing corporal works of mercy. I think they would grieve over the lack of love that is sometimes demonstrated on this Forum, especially when sarcasm is used.
After all, the Lord Jesus made it clear that He is more concerned with obeying the spirit of the Law rather than the letter of the Law. And St. Paul wrote that no matter how much knowledge we have, without love, it matters not.
