Again, this separation did not take place in the earliest church.Hopefully you see that in scripture, that we are His temple. Yes, things must be done in order , as with any church gathering and function .There is a difference between a “president”-one presiding over a "service or “mass” and one “effectuating”, or the “go between” Christ and fellow believers. We are a kingdom of priests.
JL: Yes indeed the Church is the temple, which Christ is building with living stones. Those living stones reach from earth to heaven. There is no DIVIDING WALL, or veil, in the Temple Christ is building, thru Christ we have access to ALL. Yes the president of the assembly in the earliest Church is succeeded by the president of the assembly today, who offers the same sacrifice of the mass in the ONE VISIBLE CHURCH OF GOD today, and will till the end.
[1Pet 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation a royal priesthood an holy nation a peculiar people that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light ]
[Ex 19:5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: 6: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.]
Israel also had a ministerial priesthood beside the general priesthood of all.
Your total remarks remind me of the story of Korah, who rebeled against Moses, in the OT.
[Nb 16:1 Now **Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men: 2
And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown: 3 And they gathered themselves together
against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them,
YE TAKE TOO MUCH UPON YOU, seeing
ALL THE CONGREGATION ARE HOLY, every one of them, and
the LORD IS AMONG THEM: WHEREFORE THEN LIFT YE UP YOURSELVES ABOVE THE CONGREGATION of the LORD? Nb 16:8 And
MOSES SAID unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi: Nb 16:10 And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and
SEEK YE THE PRIESTHOOD ALSO? Nb 16:12 And
Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: WHICH SAID, We will not come up: 13 Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except
THOU MAKE THYSELF altogether A PRINCE OVER US? Nb 16:28 And
MOSES SAID, HEREBY YE SHALL KNOW that THE LORD HATH SENT ME to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind. Nb 16:31 And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them: 32
And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. NB16-50]
We hear the same old story today, all God’s people are a holy priesthood we don’t need a pope, bishops or priests. Who put them as princes over the congregation? None other than the Lord God Almighty who made heaven and earth and has SENT his Holy Apostolic Fellowship which he promised to be with till the end of time. How? Through successors by laying on of hands from bishop to bishop till the end of the age through the One Holy Catholic Apostolic Church the pillar and ground of truth, 1Tm3:15, to which Christ promised the Spirit of Truth and the gates of hell will never prevail against that body of Christ, his bride to whom he is joined as one flesh. The mother who gives birth to her children by water and Spirit=baptism by the power of God. the brothers and sisters of Christ It is a mystery as St Paul says in Eph 5::30For we are
members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31: For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and
they two shall be ONE flesh. 32: This is
A GREAT MYSTERY: but I SPEAK CONCERNING CHRIST AND THE CHURCH.
