It was not even close to word for word as I phrased it. It was a distortion of what I believe. You decided to resurrect this thread and then use profanity and get upset when I do not agree with you.
I didn’t resurrect anything; I told you I would give you an answer and I did. And tell me how it is a distortion? When taken IN CONTEXT with your words IN ENTIRETY (much like verses from the Bible should be) your beliefs are as plain as day to those not trained to look for just bits and pieces.

I’m used to that from sola scripturists. I went to a ‘non-denominational, fundamentalist, evangelical protestant’ church for years and years, and I studied at RHEMA, too. (And you have the arrogant nerve to tell me to read the Bible!)
But you have made so many scriptural mistakes. You asked about Gentiles going to the Temple when that never occurred. You speak of the church in early Acts like it included Gentile believers prior to Peter’s vision several chapters later. You ask about use ignoring parts when Acts 15 clearly shows what Gentile Christians were to follow.(Clearly? Well, yes: avoid pollution from idols, unlawful marriage, the meat of strangled animals, and blood. Period. Bible not mentioned. Hmmm… Guess you are still wrong

),
You think? Yes, I know the Bible backward and forward, but there has to be a simple method of finding out how much YOU know about it. Viola! I admit I was impressed to find that you were not simply repeating the tired nonsense I’m used to, but actually seemed to be serious about the Bible. I know so many ‘Bible-thumpers’ who don’t even know a a single verse that wasn’t cherry-picked and polished with explicit instructions on how to use it. But I still don’t see any examples of how YOU do everything the ‘Acts Christians’ did. In fact at one point you claimed you do not speak in tongues. But Paul said he would
like all of us to do it, just as it’s his *opinion *that men should not have long hair. You obviously don’t follow the Bible either, so there.
Fundamentalist AND evangelical, those are two distinct groups.
Tell that to my church, which LITERALLY called itself an evangelical, fundamentalist, spirit-filled church’!

I know all the tricks, I know all the arguments, I know all the cherry-picked verses,
No you do not or you would not have made the mistakes you did.

I know all the happy, feel-good ways in which we can all twist the Bible to conform to our lives, instead of changing our lives to follow the Bible.
It completely changed my life and it has millions of others. And yes, I am quite happy, I do not spend my time at work cursing at people or not doing what I am supposed to be doing to get mad at people who disagree with me.
calling you a jackass is simply telling the truth.I don’t want to go back and find it all again, but things like dismissing a comment because the poster doesn’t have a good grasp of English grammar (not everyone here is American) and then outright ridiculing him for it, are most certainly rude and sarcastic and I would imagine a better use of your time. Oh but I forgot, “this is fun!” and “I always feel great after getting out of church!” almost always follow self-righteous, condescending remarks among your kind.

It was only after years of scriptural, theological, and historical study that I finally decided to make God, not the Bible, first and foremost in my life.
Your actions, compared to the charitable Catholics, are not impressive and those your claims are not impressive.

I’m not here to impress anyone, JACK*

I would also like to point out that throughout this thread you have been quite sarcastic and arrogant

The only sarcasm I can think of is when you called me Jack, and I did throw a little humor about Clovis…but…Clovis IS kind of funny smile

and it is obvious to everyone that you are only here to spread discord (clearly un-Biblical), and so I must wish you a rather stern ‘good day!’. I admire the restraint of my betters on this forum, but I simply am still too protestant to turn the other cheek. I’m working on it, though!
I an not here to spread discord, you resurrected the thread, do not blame me.
Once again you outright lie. I told you to expect an answer, I didn’t ‘resurrect’ anything justfor lil ol you.
