Do Catholics still have holy water stoups in their homes

I don’t have a stoup in my apartment, but I have a bottle of holy water that I keep by the door so I remember to use it on the way out the door in the morning. I also use mine during prayer time.

Holy water is just water mixed with a little bit of salt. Both the water and the salt have been blessed by an ordained person. Holy water is called a sacramental and it has sanctifying properties only if the user has true faith. It is just another tool to accept God’s graces, but you better have real faith. Some people that do not understand the proper use of sacramentals use it in a very superstitious way and that is condemned by the Church. We have one at each entrance and one in the hall. My son collects them. My favorite in Church’s is the one that have Angels bearing the bowl.
