Do Catholics want Jesus to come back?

The second part likely won’t be an issue. The calendar will not just “stop”. Before He returns we will go through the great tribulation. If we survive that with our faith intact, we will likely have been through our " purgatory in earth", ie we will be rather holy
 
Is this question like the old story about the priest asking during the homily “How many here want to go to heaven?”
Everyone in the church raised their hands.
The priest followed that with “Great! How many would like to go right after Mass?”
 
Yes i do, no actually i don’t. No, wait a minute i actually do want him to come back. No, actually i don’t. Yes i do. No i don’t. No, actually i do want him to come back. No i don’t. Yes i do. So on and so forth.

I suppose it might be better if, when he comes, the world was ready to meet him. I’ve wondered if this is the reason for delay. There is still much work to be done in the Kingdom.
