Do "Christian atheists" go to heaven?

You are still confusing works with relationship. One can do every good thing the Bible ever mentions, they STILL would have to love God as a real God in order to go to heaven. Period. Even is someone NEVER sinned in any other way except failing to Love the Christian God they will go to hell.

Isn’t doing all the good things in the Bible the very way we love God?

Isn’t doing all the good things God has revealed we need to do the very way in which we love God?

The problem is that Jesus taught about love for his father God. So essentially you cannot be a Christian Atheist because Jesus was a Jewish Rabbi who was also the messiah.

Your definition however allows Mormons to claim they are Christian… Which isn’t right because they accept a falsified “third testament” and therefore incorrect teachings of Jesus.
 
Firstly, can we retire this oxymoronic term “Christian atheist?”
That’s like “swimming dry” or a “cool dark forest fire.”

You can study Christianity your whole life and still die without making a decision. The Christian decision to repent of sin and accept Christ is the crucial point. The Bible actually discusses those who are apparently faced with the facts and go the wong way. That doesn’t mean I don’t think they still have time to change.

I do think the Almighty doesn’t enjoy being tested! There is a deadline known but to God. Come, Lord Jesus!

Well, most atheists do not believe in hell, so are they exempt from eternal punishment?
 
I’d say real, “Nope, not christian at all” atheists have a better chance, since they’re not trying to have their cake and eat it too.

All atheists (except complete wacko-fascists like Dawkins) acknowledge that there’s good in Christianity, as there is in Taoism or Iroquois religion, and that’s all those so-called “Christian atheists” are doing. They should have the guts to say that, rather than trying to pass themselves off as a contradiction in terms.

Will my first thought is simply because it is an oxymoron. One who claims to be Christian would believe in a God and one who claims to be an atheists would believe there is no God. You really cannot claim both. Oh I suppose you can if you live in this feel good, do what ever you want to society. But come on lets face it one who calls himself a “Christian atheist” Is either one who has a double personality, or one who likes the lime light. I am going for the second.

I would say I would have more respect for a person who calls himself an Atheist than one who calls himself a “Christian Atheist” At least the Atheist isn’t trying to gain his five minutes of fame.

So I guess the “Christian Atheist” would go to hell for lying. But hopefully he will repent. 😃 😉

Having love is not the same thing as showing love. They are two different things. They should go hand in hand but it is not always the case. While it would be hard to show love you don’t have it would be possible, just is it’s possible but difficult to keep your love a secret.

That dosn’t follow. In Christianity, God will judge all people. The result will determine where they end up. God says if you deny Him, He also will deny you. So here is the so-called “Christian Athiest” at judgement trying to say he didn’t deny God? If they deny both God and heaven, they will not be judged worthy to go there and be with Him.

To me the title “Christian Athiest” means “I know the Word of God is Truth, But I reject God anyways.” This is an unforgivable sin.

That’s exactly my point. If they are atheist and do not repent, they will die in their sins.

If atheists are right, they die and worms eat them. By discussing the afterlife at all, we’re assuming Christians are right, just for the sake of argument. And not believing in God doesn’t affect the question of his existence one way or another, just as not believing in gravity doesn’t affect its existence. So they obviously still repent to God.

I still say real atheists have a better chance, since calling oneself a Christian involves an obligation to accept certain propositions as true–including a) there is a God and b) Jesus is him. Atheists, obviously, do not hold this is true, and won’t be held accountable for precepts the Revelation of which they didn’t believe in.

Basically, you just answered the question once and for all. One cannot be both a Christian and an atheist. That is an oxymoron.

The question is not "Are ‘Christian atheists’ “Christian”?

The question is: "Do ‘Christian atheists’ go to heaven?

And the answer to that is the same answer given to a Christian, or Muslim, or Hindu: only God knows.
