I know some Saints said they saw theirs, but do all those who follow Christ have an angel or just a select few?
Would we know if we did?

**CCC 336 From its beginning until death, human life is surrounded by their watchful care and intercession.“Beside each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd leading him to life.” Already here on earth the Christian life shares by faith in the blessed company of angels and men united in God.

Although we each have a guardian angel there is no Church teaching as to whether its one guardian angel to one human or if one guardian angel is assigned to several or many humans.

So I can be confident I have one? I just don’t feel like I have for some reason. What do they do?

Yes, you can be quite confident.
They guide you. Whether or not you realize it.
Use the Guardian angel prayer, and every time you are saved time, receive some small blessing, or realize something simply think " Thank you dear Guardian angel for helping me, and thank YOU God, for the gift of the holy angels and Saints who help us in our struggles. "

Over time, your thankfulness and awareness of their presence will increase.
Best wishes!

Yes.

Christians do have Guardian Angels.

Because of all the many and extreme difficulties I have been delivered from, I personally believe that my Guardian Angel has a hernia from the heavy lifting. [joke] 👍

One day I was asked to deliver an airplane but I found after takeoff that it was imbalanced.

Very tail heavy.

No way to survive this.

Another airplane came alongside as escort, but my plane was wallowing so slowly they could not slow down enough.

Arrived at the destination, and when we got down to the runway, I just touched the throttle and the airplane STOPPED.

STOPPED.

It plopped down and stopped. It did not roll. I had to give it full power just to taxi clear.

I figured my Guardian Angel had to be holding us up. There was no way that the airplane stayed up by itself.

There have been many many other experiences.

MANY MANY MANY.

One night, not quite a dream but almost, if you know what I mean, two forms slipped in through my open window to my bedside. I was terrified and they said they would not come back as I was scared… my spiritual guider said they were angels. They are kind and gentle

Angels, when they do make an appearance, always say " Do not be afraid".

That’s how you tell the difference.

Every person is given a guardian angel. When they are still in their mother’s womb, the mother’s guardian angel guards the baby. When it is born, the Lord sends a angel of its own.

I think you need to start a devotion to your angel. Show him how much you love him and thank him for his guidance. I’ve noticed my angel does some things to let me know he is there. He has switched things on, moved my watch around etc. My father’s angel actually perform’s miracles in the kitchen for him, such as multiplying the food! I’ve actually witnessed it happen. So, I can attest to the power and love of the angels.

They inspire men to do good things, and to turn to God. They guard a soul against the Devil and temptation. If you suddenly have the inspiration to pray, for example, that is your angel talking to you. If one really understood how much they do for us, we would never cease to thank them.

Also, at one’s death, they stand with you at your judgment. In fact, according to St. Thomas Aquinas, your angel is also judged, but not in the same way as men are. They escort you either to Purgatory or to Heaven.

They are several devotions to the angels. There is the St. Michael’s chaplet, the Guardian Angel chaplet, the Guardian Angel prayer, the Little Office of the Angels etc. Also, Tuesdays are traditional dedicated to the Holy Angels, so perhaps that could be the day you honour your angel (or all of them). I do a rotation. Each Tuesday, I will honour a different angel: 1) St. Michael, 2) St. Gabriel, 3) St. Raphael, 4) My Guardian Angel.

I hope this helps a bit. God bless

“Dear friends, the Lord is ever close and active in humanity’s history and accompanies us with the unique presence of his Angels, whom today the Church venerates as “Guardian Angels”, that is, ministers of the divine care for every human being. From the beginning until the hour of death, human life is surrounded by their constant protection.”

~ Pope Benedict XVI

We had just moved into this 30+ year old house.

It had lots of “issues”.

The least of them was that the wall oven didn’t work

Anyway, I was moving stacks of papers around on the kitchen table … ***and one of the documents … suddenly lifted off of the stack and floated down gently to the floor. Like a falling leaf. “All by itself”.

I went over to it and picked it up.

It happened to be a home warrantee that the sellers included as part of the deal.

So, I looked at it and the words “wall oven” popped off the page at me.

We were really busy with many other issues.

But I called the 800 number and they said yup.

I said I didn’t have time to fuss with this; could they handle it. Yup.

Ultimately, they worked directly with the appliance store, provided a replacement unit and sent a cabinet maker to modify the wall space so the replacement unit would fit.

Go figure.
