I actually didn’t know that Anglicans communicate Catholics so I didn’t fully understand your question.
The relationship of the Anglicans and the Catholics are similar to the relationships of the Catholics and Orthodox. Anglicans see the Catholic Church the same way the Catholic Church see the Orthodox. The Orthodox see the Catholic Church the same way the Catholic Church sees the Anglicans.

And they are lost defining Doctrine on the level of laity, and not seeing the One MYSTICAL BODY. I’m sorry I wish we didn’t have to suffer through this. However suffering is sanctification.

Gary have you read the whole thread? It really isn’t about Anglicans and zip codes v

Ah I see.

I know it’s a very controversial topic for some, but I have seen more than one Orthodox poster on various sites who has insisted that there are Orthodox priests in America who will knowingly commune Catholics whether they are Eastern or Latin.

No I read this page and when that reached the we are the church, no we are the church thinking I stopped.

I would like to read the statements from the Patriarchs about this different theology. I have read the theology, I have read all Benedict states a few times. I have not read the statements from the elect of the EO. I know our theology, I know the Coptic theology. The Angilican situation I have read to an extent, not in depth.

I’m sorry did I distract the conversation? I just think everyone needs to know all this to proceed in charity. Then we will be on the same page. Not starting from an encyclical. Or what we see as laity as difference without following the words of the elect.

CAF sure helps to kill time when you’re getting your hair done.

Now that’s a derailment. 😃

It varies from parish to parish, and every from the particular Church itself. I think Russians will never give Communion to Catholics. Ukrainian Orthodox would give to Ukrainian Catholics, not sure about Roman Catholics. It varies in reality. But even if the Catholic Church herself sees the Orthodox as true Apostolic Churches, I’ve come across many Roman Catholic priests who think very less of the Orthodox and would probably not give them Communion anyway.

Your point?
That there is one church of Christ, that is true catholic church, the church that recognises the pope as its head and that only they belong to it with any certainty, we may of course discover that other individuals belong to it in the next life but they do not visibly beling to it and no church, protestant sect or body corporate belongs to or is part of it.

Guanophore may find this disagreeable as do I.😃

Ha ha. Good to know. 😃

I think this sort of thing can easily cause confusion among laity who take the time to think about it. If the Pope is not the head of the Church, them woe to our One True Apostolic Church.

I pray that this pope or the nest one will define this once and for all.
Well, the head of the Church really is Christ. The Church is the body with Christ as its head.

Please forgive all my double posts and spelling errors. It’s the iPhone, but I’m back!

Yes, of course you’re right. What I meant is Christ is the head, but the Pope is his Vicar on earth.
A title of the pope implying his supreme and universal primacy, both of honour and of jurisdiction, over the Church of Christ. It is founded on the words of the Divine Shepherd to St. Peter: “Feed my lambs. . . . Feed my sheep” (John 21:16-17), by which He constituted the Prince of the Apostles guardian of His entire flock in His own place, thus making him His Vicar and fulfilling the promise made in Matthew 16:18-19.
Amen.

Have you read unam sanctum, the council of Florence, the council of Trent or the Vatican councils? The head of the church is the pope who is the vicar of Christ, who acts in Christ’s place with his full authority. Of course Christ is the head of the church but the pope is the head of the church on earth and acts in his place with his authority to say otherwise is a heresy condemned by The Church on numerous occasions.

No the Head of the church is Christ, Mary is the Neck, the Holy Spirit is the Heart, the Body “is” the elect and the laity. The elect serve the laity and carry the responsiblity of the flock. And that is why they call it the Mystical Body of Christ correctly.

And this “is” taught in the CC, world-wide daily. I hope.
