I was talking about homosexuality with my priest about this subject, and he said that homosexual people should always come out and not “hide”. Is he right? This really confused me.
That was obviously the priest’s personal opinion. The Catholic Church has made no such official pronouncement. All Catholics are entitled to keep their sexual preferences private. What the Church does require is that they live in a chaste way whatever their sexual preferences may be. This means offering their sexuality to their crucified Lord, who offered His very life for them.
