Can I request my file from the tribunal that denied my annulment? I also want to know all of the members involved in making the decision. Will they give me this information?
Perhaps. I recommend consulting with the St. Joseph Foundation, a Catholic canon law apostolate, for assistance in this. Please keep in mind though that the file probably does not “belong” to you as something that you “own,” and that the tribunal may have very good reason for retaining its files and not giving out information about its members. If that is the case, that should be respected and there should be no undue pressure upon a tribunal to release information it deems to be too sensitive for release.
