we are divorcing…by HER choice. I found out she has physically cheated on me, possibly more than once, and that she wants to ‘date’ this person while she works on ‘us’. I told her I cannot live like that - she needs to make a choice - him/them or me. Well today she told me it would not be me, and said she will file for a divorce. So…

Divorce , for whatever the reasons, is indeed a painful thing. What I have learned is to not beat yourself up over it. What helped me was regular church attendance and several sessions with the Monsignor at my parish. That one on one helped more than anything, because it was about me.
You will go through ups and downs. You will cry. You will laugh. But you will come through it. My divorce taught me just what I was made of, and showed me a strength I didn’t know I had.
Naturally I was bitter at first. Cried when I heard a certain song. Threw things when I was really mad. But in the end, I survived. And now here I am…whole…happy…and “right” with the Lord.
