Do I have to attend Mass while on vacation?

Hi, I am Catholic my husband is not. If I know where we are going I attend a service. Some times I have no idea where we are or he has a meeting. If I miss Sunday service I try to attend a daily mass. But some one said at Church yesterday that if you are on vacation you do not need to attend Mass. Now I am all mixed up.
