Do I have to pray to Mary?

I am a convert of 8 years now and am struggling with an issue about Mary. Lately, as I pray a rosary, I feel as if I am doing something wrong. I keep coming across the idea of “to Jesus through Mary”.Can you please give me some advise? Do I have to pray to Mary to be Catholic? What is required of me as a Catholic in relation to Mary?
