Do I have to repeat my Eastern Orthodox Confessions?

Hi,
I am a former eastern orthodox. I have a question… is the sacrament of confession and the act of penance that I did in the orthodox church valid? Do I have to confess again the same sins now that I become a Catholic ?
 
Dear j,

The Catholic Church recognizes the sacraments of the Orthodox Churches as valid. You do not have to confess your old sins over again.
